Title - Agra MPs meet NCR GM

ALLAHABAD: A meeting of the MPs belonging to the Agra division and the general manager (GM) of North Central Railway AlokJohri took place recently.

During the meeting, general manager of NCR Alok Johri apprised the delegation of the MPs about the various developmental measures being undertaken in the Agra division of NCR. He informed that efforts are being made for the benefit of the passengers as they are our main customers.

Divisional railway manager of Agra division Vijay Sehgal informed about the various ongoing railway projects through a powerpoint presentation.

Rajya Sabha MP SP Singh Baghel has demanded stoppage of Nizamuddin-Bangalore Rajdhani , Bilaspur Rajdhani at Agra Cantt station. In addition to this he also demanded stoppage of all the Rajdhanis, Gharib Raths and Duranto Express at this station and also increasing of security in the trains.

He also demanded construction of a Rail Yatri Niwas at Agra station and augmentation of AC coaches in Lucknow-Agra Intercity Express.

MP from Fatehpur Sikri Seema Upadhaya demanded urgent completion of the Agra-Etawa rail link and construction of parks and stadium near Fatehpur Sikri station and other model stations. She also demanded increase in the emergency quotas in all the trains passing through the Agra division. She also demanded stoppage of Gomti Express at Hathras station.

Representative of MP Prof Ram Shankar Katheriya demanded regularization of Agra Fort-Ahmedabad Express and gave suggestion for starting of Tundla-Etah passenger from Agra Fort station.

Representative of Mathura's MP Jayant Chowdhry said that though announcement was made for development of Mathura station as world class station but it has not been implemented. He also demanded construction of subway at railway crossing number 541 on the Mathura-Palwal section.

During the meeting, chief operating manager, chief commercial manager, principal chief engineer, chief security commissioner, chief administrative officer and other officers were present.
