The 51st Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee Meeting of Hyderabad Division, South Central Railway was held today (22nd Dec 2012) at Divisional Railway Manager’s Conference Hall, Hyderabad Bhavan, Secunderabad under the chairmanship of Shri Rakesh Aron, Divisional Railway Manager. Shri M Krishna, Secretary and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Additional Divisional Railway Manager and other branch officers of Hyderabad Division attended.Out of 15 nominated DRUCC members, 10 members attended the meeting. In the welcome address, Chairman highlighted the performance of the division during the current year till November 2012. Improvements of Passenger services like stoppage of trains, extension of trains at stations, introduction of new trains as announced in the Railway Budget, running of special trains, appointment of JTBS at stations and appointment of facilitators for operation of Automatic Ticket Vending Machines at MMTS stations. He also enlightened about various passenger amenity work completed and in progress at stations in the Division.The members expressed their satisfaction and appreciation over the improvements made at stations and for introduction of additional trains. Members suggested for introduction of new trains, stoppage for long distance trains at stations, increasing frequency of the existing popular trains, provision of additional shifts in PRS counters, exclusive PRS counters, provision of Road Under Bridge, approach road to stations, Ramps at stations, improvement to station building, circulating area, concourse, re-location of booking office, enhancing security of passengers in trains, earmarking coaches exclusively for ladies in trains etc. The chairman assured the members that their suggestions / representations would be examined within the guidelines / norms in force. | ||
