Title - Government approves land acquisition for Kochi Metro

Kochi: In an effort to speed up the land acquisition procedures for the Kochi Metro Rail Project, the state government on Tuesday gave approval for initiating land acquisition procedures. With this, the district administration can issue 4(1) notification (initial notification for land acquisition) immediately and start acquiring land.
    District collector PI Sheik Pareeth said the administration had already started the initial process and was waiting for the final approval from the state government.
