ALLAHABAD: General Manager of North Central Railway Alok Johri inaugurated 'Rajbhasha Fortnight' function and released a special Hindi magazine 'Rail Sangam'. He stressed the need for propagation of Hindi language.He said Hindi had been an effective medium of communication for the last 1,000 years and it was our duty to spread the language, which played an important role in our freedom struggle. He instructed railway employees to display all information related to passengers in Hindi and English languages at the railway stations so that passengers faced no problem.A special programme was organised at the divisional railway manager's office. Speaking at the programme, divisional railway manager of Allahabad division Harendra Rao urged railway officers to use Hindi in official correspondence and also urged juniors to conduct work in Hindi. He also read the Hindi Diwas message of Union Home Minister and called upon railway officers and employees to implement the directions issued related to the Rajbhasha. Several programmes have been organised during the Rajbhasha fortnight period. |
