The Railway Ministry can proceed on projects in Karnataka only after receiving Rs 445 crore from the State government, said Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday.“The state has to give the Railways Rs 445 crore. Unless they give us this amount, we can not proceed,” he told reporters. “Karnataka is one of the few states which have agreed to implement pending rail projects by sharing 50 per cent of the cost. It has also agreed to give free land,” he said. |
