There has been much speculation of Vishakhapatnam to be the new railway headquarters of the new railway zone but never those speculations got so close into the reality. According to a new report the Union Minister for Urban Development, M Venkaiah Naidu stated that it is for sure that Visakhapatnam will be the new railway zone headquarters. Report also states that, M Venkaiah Naidu spoke about his love and attachment to the city for 25 long years from the time he was a student of Andhra University. He also stated that initial funds are already sanctioned for the development of headquarters in the city. Funds had been sanctioned for the Vizag – Chennai Industrial Corridor, medical equipment manufacturing cluster and IIM Visakhapatnam. A Krishi Vignan Kendra will also be developed in the future and soon the foundation stone will be laid at Chodavarm. Apart from this Visakhapatnam International Airport will also be developed further. | ||
