Hyderabad: The South Central Railway(SCR) has reached its freight target and handled record passengers volume in the first Half (April to September 2012) in the current financial year while the zone has earned an incremental revenue of Rs 945 crore with a Gross Originating Earnings of Rs 4679 crore against Rs 3734 crore last year.South Central Railway (SCR)has registered significant growth in the traffic volume handled both in freight and passenger segments in the first half of the current fiscal and the gross originating earnings has shown an impressive growth of 25 per cent during the first half of the current financial year, the SCR said in a release here. In the freight segment, SCR turned out commendable freight performance in the first half of the current financial year as against the proportionate target of 53.2 million tonnes for the first half year. SCR actually moved 53.1 million tonnes during this period almost achieving the target. | ||
